Back in January 2013, during the Christmas holidays, my husband took some of his favorite custom soldiers outside in the snow and made a little setting. It was quite cold outside and hard to keep your hands exposed to the cold while holding the camera. He set it all up and I took the pictures and did the editing. Enjoy and be glad you are not in the cold.

A bad storm was coming in and scouts were sent ahead to find a secure spot to camp down for the night, preferable out of the wind. Soon a hollow in a ravine was spotted and the patrol headed in that direction. It was a nice area enclosed on three sides by an embankment and a small ridge on the fourth.

Camp fires were soon going and dinner was started. It would be hot stew tonight as the weather would not permit a hunt.

The cannons were made ready and aimed for the ridge in case of a surprise attack. The horses were being tethered and fed.

The coffee was ready and several of the officers had stopped to get a hot cup while warming up by the cooking fire.

A perimeter patrol was established and everyone was taking turns by the fire.

Soon night would set in ……….

……….and everyone anticipated the promise of a new day.
You guys are crazy, actually you are playmonuts!!
Excellent outdoor and frozen pictures!! Well done to both of you!!
